I'm Upside Down Tom

When I was in my 20’s I experienced a sudden and mysterious onset of crippling pain and swelling in my leg. I was unable to walk for about 6 months.

Despite having a blackbelt in Kempo and being deeply immersed in various mind-body “health practices” I was still not immune from dis-ease. I had thought that staying fit, meditating and eating well was enough to guarantee my health. It turns out that there is more to the picture.

So I set out on a quest to find "the answer". My inner mad scientist came out and I started to experiment on myself with different healing modalities.

My quest eventually led me to The Feldenkrais Method ®. Working 1-on-1 with a practitioner gave me incredible changes within one session. I knew I had to learn this type of magicians work ;-)

I immediately signed up to a 4-year professional training. The combination of the training, getting into transformational men's work, and also having a major meltdown in my personal life at the same time, meant I came out the other side a different person. It was kinda like going through a mincer.

On the other side I am now a humbler, more service oriented and mincier form of Tom.

I now realise that I can and thoroughly do enjoy helping people (Particularly in the realm of movement and the physical body). I see incredible potential in people and I also have a range of tools to help bring some of that potential to fruition.
